One of my greatest privileges as an adoption attorney is to witness Adoption Day, the moment when an adoptive family becomes official. Sharing the joy with three new families on November 22nd at the official Adoption Day celebration of National Adoption Month in the New Jersey Superior Court was fantastic! Each worked so hard to become parents, and they radiated love, commitment, and relief. I admire the courage of each of these children’s birth parents, who were in all of our thoughts that day.
